Area Competition News............. Well done to Clydach members who competed at the Winter Novice and Intermediate Show Jumping Qualifiers.
It was an early start for some and a soaking for everybody, Horses and riders performed well.
The junior Novice team went out first and they set the standard, by winning and qualifying for the Champs which will be on 1-2 April 2017 at The College Equestrian Centre, Bedford. the team consisted of Olivia Taylor, Ellie Romanello, Joseph James and Talia Romanello.
Next was on to the seniors which came down to team Jump off and being pipped for the 1st by 4 seconds, but a well done to the drowned rats - Louise John, Emma Thomas, Nicola Dymond and Jodi Romanello.
With a break in play but no let up on the weather it was on to the intermediate section, again Juniors came out first but today wasn't their day so Olivia Taylor, Eva Harris, Lowri Phillips and Andrew Vaughan came away with 2nd place, a big well done to them braving the weather conditions.
Swiftly Moving on to the Intermediate OAP's Jessica Crees, Rhisian Morgan, Gabrielle Thomas and Nicky - Jo Evans, put up great competition to also be pipped at the post and come away with a 2nd.
Our individual intermediate Menna Phillips also flew the flag for Clydach but was very unlucky and today was not to be for her.
In all a great day with great team spirit, while jumping in horrendous conditions.
We look forward to the next area Competition which will be the FOTH Combined Training on 18th March 2017 at Beacons. hope to see you there either competing or supporting our teams. Good luck
